We take pride as a long established company of ramie for 300 years, passing down the goodness of hand-spun, hand-woven ramie, hoping to be a brand always challenging for new things yet maintaining the tradition.

Yu Nakagawa Nipponichi is a shop lined up with items of Yu Nakagawa brand, selecting those focused on regions of its MONOZUKURI (manufacturing).
When you are living in the city and find something that has been made in your local town, you feel nostalgic. If your local industry is No.1 in Japan, or was something special, we want you to feel a bit proud of that, by learning its history. And we would like you to become interested in Japanese industry crafts. These are our thoughts for creating our shops.

Sanadahimo Tote Bag Large
A standard bag, popular ever since it came out in 2002.We have been very particular about its size, to make the person carrying it look elegant. We have used hand-spun, hand-woven ramie material for both front and back, and the handle has been tailored with "Sanadahimo", a traditional industry of Japan, and "Igakumihimo" (braided cords of Iga) has been used for the Kinchaku (drawstring purse) made of same fabric.
Hanafukin
This kitchen cloth received Gold Prize in Good Design Awards in 2008.We have used 'mosquito net', a declining specialty of Nara, valued for its durability in spite its large size and thinness.
The colors are beautiful and has been appreciated as gifts not just in Japan but also overseas.
